Structural Health Monitroing System consists of 10 crackmeters, 7 tiltmeters, 1 temperature-humidity sensor, datalogger (Campbell Scientific CR3000) and power source (solar panel, dry battery and regulator). An alarm system has also been included to provide information in case of the previously specified limits of sensor readings are exceeded. Collected data sets will be transferred to office in Ankara with remote access modem connection. Datalogger, modem and battery is placed of two boxes which are interbedded. Inner box was made of polyster where outer box was made of stainless steel. These boxes were chosen to prevent the system from vandalism and seasonal affects. The collected data will help further in detailing the major interventions to the damaged sections of the Cathedral.
